As part of my solo exhibition at the Film Gallery a phytography workshop was held in the gallery during the opening weekend. The participants worked with photographic paper and 35mm film. Plants were foraged from a nearby park and spontaneously overgrown spots.
The Film Gallery is an outlet for the ongoing efforts of RE:VOIR to expose a wider audience to experimental films. As the first gallery in the world exclusively dedicated to experimental cinema, the mission of the Film Gallery is to promote artists whose work bridges the realms of cinema and domains such as the visual arts, poetry, sculpture, and performance arts.
The exhibition featured my film Phytography, a series of printed stills and a window installation of phytographic film strips.
